A rugged, mechanically simple measurement instrument. Its calibration spring is unaffected by long use or extreme environmental conditions, retaining its calibration indefinitely. Readings can be directly converted into centipoise units (cPs) with no timing or involved calculations. Accurate reproducible viscosity determinations within 1% of the range in use can be made in ≤30 seconds.
