These papers allow the detection of strong oxidising agents such as chlorine and nitrous acid. It may also be used to control diazotisation reactions. Strong oxidising agents react with potassium iodide to form elemental iodine which then reacts with the starch to form a blue/violet complex. Each book contains 20 strips.
