Phosphoglucomutase from rabbit muscle, ammonium sulfate suspension, >=100 units/mg protein

Analysis Note

Protein determined by biuret.

Application

Phosphoglycomutase is used to interconvert glucose 1-phosphate to glucose 6-phosphate. It is used to study glycogenesis and phosphoglycomutase deficiency in humans. Product 3397 has been used in phosphoglucomutase assays to study metabolic regulation.

Phosphoglucomutase exchanges a phosphoryl group with the substrate.

Packaging

1000 units in glass bottle

Physical form

Crystalline suspension in 3.2 M (NH4)2SO4, pH 6.0 containing 0.01% EDTA

Unit Definition
